Predator and Quarry
New neighbors now we've got,
squirrels and crows we had a lot.
They annoyed us just a little bit,
but we were used to their odd wit.
Accepting them was what we did,
with no thought of getting rid.
New neighbors have moved in,
of the small critters they're not kin.
They live high in some tall pine,
on the others they like to dine.
Squirrels now are very few,
from what the new ones like to do.
Eagles I think the newbies are,
as birds of prey, they get a star.
They are what they're meant to be,
as are the crows and squirrels we see.
