Riches in my Life

So many riches do I have.
Broken shells
          and sea washed glass
from walks along the beach,
Rabbits and coyotes
          seen in the woods,
Hearing foghorns and the birds call,
The smell of spring fog
          and of a summer shower.
The taste of hot cocoa
          and of cold beer,
The feel of fresh sheets
          and of well worn-in shoes.
-and chasing foolish dreams.

(It is said that a poem isn't finished but abandoned.
The poem above was written years ago.  Recently
I made a couple of small changes and now present
it again.)
