Ode to Norm
We have a cheerful friend named Norm,
You'd want him with you in a storm.
He's always pleasant and in a good
mood,
as the young would say, he's one cool
dude.
Norm served in the Navy in his early
days,
he did his bit to preserve our American
ways.
After the war he became an engineer
instead,
then at MIT, he settled down and wed.
In retirement Norm's talents really
show,
as the artist and poet we've come to
know.
Ninety-seven this month is his age,
his adventurous life turns a new page.
On his birthday Norm's spirit we toast,
we must openly admit he is the most.
Norm Darling
Poet, artist, friend, joyous Norm
delighted us with his endearing poems.
Millions of stars radiate on high.
now there's one more, Poet Norm.
Poet Sue giving poet Norm his birthday kiss on his 97th birthday.
