The Lock Down
Staying home begins as fun,
soon enough the humor is done.
Home projects I think to do,
soon such joy is no longer new.
With a box comes the post man,
on-line purchases fill his van.
I went on line an item to buy,
when it comes I ask why.
I watch the movie Topkapi,
old films I have time to see.
England's past of the Stuarts reign,
was interesting in the main.
I chat with friends on the phone,
about the lock down we moan.
With far away friends, Skype I use,
each other we see and share the news..
We need the lock down right now,
with experience we've learned how,
some day, open will be every store,
we so hope this will be no more.
