Let's
Walk
Let's
walk
that
road
with
so many
twists
and curves,
maybe
go down
a
side path
or
two.
Look!
There's a meadow
where,
by the brook,
we
can dally,
blow
dandelion seeds
and
make wishes.
Let's
not travel
too
fast.
Let's
not miss
the
bright yellow buttercups,
the
chickadee's cheerful call
and
the sweet wild blackberries.
But
let's not linger
at
a junction nor
at
a dip in the road.
The
path with all
the
turns and hidden bends,
let's
walk.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Jack, you write so beautifully. I'msending these to my friend's who know you by what I've said of you and by your other poems
ReplyDeleteThanks for so much beauty. I have been so sad since I came back from Japan because of the beauty I left behind there in all that autumn glory. My Japanese friend in Tokyo just now called me to see how I was doing after my return. I am going to send these to him immediately. He remembers things I tokd him about you and enjoys your poetry and art.
