The Cat

The Cat

It was a big cat, as moggies go,
I don’t remember its gender.
Red-brown fur, always spotless,
it had no name but Cat..
Curled  and napping on anyone,
who fell asleep on the sofa,
the feline became truly angry
when woken and shoved off.
The house with all in it, belonged
to Cat,  and the mouser knew it.
It was haughty, demanding and
aloof.  People existed
to be that kitty’s servant.
I learned a lot about certain
people from that puss.
