Shadows become long, early ends the day,
wish as we do, but sunlight does not stay.
Sleeveless shirts and shorts now are few,
today there’s flannel and long pants in lieu.
Summer’s gone with its heat and cook-outs,
now inside, we eat pizza and drink stouts.
