Falmouth during the summer
summer brings many a guest
they, we welcome to our nest.
without them our place is dull
like a jetty with a lonely gull.
when the summer’s really here
this lively town slips in gear.
here a concert, there a show,
or a talk on things to know.
goings-on for those who come
and the townies go to some.
at summer's end the guest are off
our hats to them we warmly doff.
