manaho

manaho

I’ve heard it’s from an Algonquin
language.       it’s a word we need.

manaho .
the gray tree squirrels gorge on acorns,
hermit crabs dwell in abandoned sea snail shells,
the vibrant lady-slippers nourished
by the dung of  raccoons and rabbits,
fauna and flora depends on
manaho.- a way of nature.

take leftover omelets from the fridge
and add them to the stew.  -manaho.
find a big damaged wire dog cage
and use it as a compost bin.  - manaho.
craft a collage of broken glass, stones,
seashells and other wondrous things - manaho.

such a useful word - manaho.
but no synonym in English for
    -using something for a purpose
     other than its intent-,
manaho.
