everything's a song

everything’s a song

in the still of the dawn
the monotone song of the
humming fridge and of the
blub-blubbing tea water.

to the end of the drive
for the paper, the song of the
clicking cane and of leaves
rustling in the soft breeze.

with the incoming water
the song of  waves lapping
on the rocks and of quacking
ducks swimming against the tide.

in the eatery the song
of a many voiced throng
and its instrumentals of
clacking cutlery and dishes.

in the dim light of late night
the droning of the fridge,
the scuffing of slippers
and the song of silence.
