do you remember--

cars with chokes, throttles, starter buttons
and on the floor head light switch.
in school do you remember--
pen nibs, desks with ink wells
and the smell of freshly dittoed papers.
at home do you remember--
coal bins, coalmen,  ash cans
and banking the furnace.
do you remember--
the icebox, the ice man
and the ice sign in the window.
