what is for sure
many words and
notes written to tell
what is for sure.
I've read them,
from Dick, Jane and Spot
to Descartes and Kant;
from Howdy Doody,
to Hamlet and Antigone.
from The More We Get Together
to Mozart and Shankar.
Still, the more I learn
the less I know.
the dandileon flower,
the water worn beach pebble,
the bright morning star
and the wisp of smoke
from burning leaves,
tell me best
what is for sure.
