A Year Has Past
black ice,
brown snow
whistling wind and cold

longer days,
warm and green
sprout of dandelions

gold evening sun
steamy days
iris flowers in full color

now again dressed in wool,
alder gold leaves
and almost dead days

the cycle continues
the longer warmer
days and green still to come

rebirth
will come
